“The Enigma of Faina” travels to Peru and UK in April
Chai Khana’s short animated-documentary “The Enigma of Faina” by Durna Safarova was selected for two more festivals in April.
On April 6 and 7, the film will be screened in Peru at the Censurados Film Festival. It is part of a special program called “Animation without censorship”. This is the eighth Censurados Film Festival, which aims to create a dialogue space about censorship, where the diversity of voices and ideas can freely express themselves.
“The Enigma of Faina” was also nominated for the Best International Film Award at the Brighton International Animation Film Festival in the UK. The film will be screened on April 24 as a part of “The Female Gaze” slot which presents a selection of films presenting the female experience or the world through the eyes of a female director. BIAF also puts on an additional TV festival in partnership with community-based local TV channel Latest TV in Brighton.
“The Enigma of Faina” has competed in 10 festivals since its world premiere at Annecy International Animation Festival.
