Merri Mkrtichian, Hunay Saday and Nazik Armenakyan selected for Tbilisi Photo Festival’s art residency

Our contributors Merri Mkrtichian, Hunay Saday and Nazik Armenakyan are three of the seven female visual artists selected for this year’s Art Residency!

The residency includes a long-term mentorship program & production grant from MagiC Carpets program for seven women photographers and visual artists from the South Caucasus. Participating photographers will receive individual, online mentoring from Iranian photographer Newsha Tavakolian/Magnum Photos as they work on long term projects. The program supports South Caucasian women photographers and visual artists to produce stories on different issues in the region. For six months, the grantees will benefit from an online individual mentorship and the series of lectures by international artists and curators.

The Art Residency, which includes a Long-term Mentorship Program & Production Grant, is implemented by Tbilisi Photo Festival in partnership with Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum. The project is financed by MagiC Carpets, a Creative Europe Platform.
