We are happy to announce that two films commissioned by Chai Khana, Jane Jan and POV, were selected for 19. KIN Women's International Film festival 2022 in the short films’ competition.

As skirmishes and battles fester on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the author of the film lives and creates with her Azerbaijani friend Aysel. Their friendship is unique because they are citizens of enemy countries. This film documents their daily lives and national problems, which they have to face everyday. 

Last year, Jane Jan received Focus Caucasus Special Jury Award at CinéDOC-Tbilisi 2021.

POV by Ani Torosyan

POV is a short film made out of mobile footage shot randomly during 2020, a challenging year. Ani Torosyan documented her everyday experience during the pandemic and the war in Armenia, reflecting on the dramatic changes she witnessed through a first person narrative.
