What ESoDoc in Georgia offers

Mentorship for preparation of a two-pager and a trailer of your project; 

Intense one-week residential session held in Georgia: training by renown international tutors and pitching of your film project to the panel of experts;

Extended Online Sessions taking place at several stages before the pitch.

Esodoc in Georgia takes place on 4-9 December in Tbilisi.

 

What is EsoDoc

ESoDoc - European Social Documentary is the training initiative for media professionals who are eager to develop their co-creative skills and the potential of their documentary and new media project. ESoDoc is designed for authors, directors and creative producers who are willing to dedicate time and energy in the creative development process during the training, who want to approach their project from different angles and explore new forms and new formats of audiovisual production. The master program is implemented by Zelig School for Documentary, Television and New Media, supported by Creative Europe Media program.

It is already the third year ESoDoc in Georgia 2023 is organized locally by Chai Khana in collaboration with DOCA. In 2023 it will be implemented with the support of GNFC.

 

ESoDoc in Georgia 2023 was officially approved and funded by GNFC in April 2023, prior to the reorganization at the Film Centre.

 

Conditions of participation

Participation in ESoDoc in Georgia is free of charge. If selected, together with two other Georgian participants already chosen for the main cohort, you will join Esodoc for the third (pitching) session, which includes pitching training and preparation. Attendance of all the sessions is obligatory. 

Selected candidates mightl be offered an opportunity to collaborate with Chai Khana's multimedia platform to produce a short version of their projects.
