Zauri Nadirashvili, 78 and Sergo Nadirashvili, 55, live in the Sighnaghi, a popular tourism destination perched on a hill overlooking the Caucasus mountain range in eastern Georgia. Struggling to make ends meet the refined their creative acumen and became entrepreneurs: their business is to “rent” to tourists their binoculars, offering them a spectacular views over the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus for GEL 1 ($0.40). Their services include a brief history of the area - the self-proclaimed tourist guides offer a personal interpretation of the past where facts and figures are often contradictory, when not made up. The two men (note related despite the identical surname) compete with each other for business, they prick each other, and contend each other tourists, especially during the low season where visitors are rare.
