Hot Autumn for “The Enigma of Faina”
“The Enigma of Faina”, a short ani-doc by Durna Safarova, will have four competitive screenings in October and November!
On 7-23 October, the 10th Canlandıranlar International Animation Film Festival will show the film in Istanbul. This is the second time “The Enigma of Faina '' will be on screens in Turkiye – in June, Documentarist – Istanbul Documentary Days included it in the animated-documentary category.
The Polish premiere of the film be at the Warsaw Animation Film Festival. Established in 2019, the festival is dedicated exclusively to animation. The event will take place on October 26-31, in the arthouse cinema Amondo and Elektronik.
The Scottish Premiere of the film will happen at the 12th Edinburgh Short Film Festival. The screening is scheduled for 28 October, at 7:30 pm in the Summerhall, a multi-arts venue.
Following Edinburgh, “The Enigma of Faina” will be screened at the ANIMAGE – 12th International Animation Festival in Brazil, which is taking place November 15 to 20. It is also the ani-doc’s second visit to Brazil – in September 2021, Festival Entretodos premiered it in São Paulo city.
