Exhibition — Youth Narratives: The South Caucasus in Focus
On March 7, at 19:00, the exhibition "Youth Narratives: South Caucasus in Focus" opens, featuring photo projects created by fourteen new visionary minds and emerging photographers from Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan under the Kolga Visual Storytelling Program.
The exhibition showcases a selection of photo projects that spotlight topics such as identity, generational differences, migration, mental health, and social transformations from a youth perspective. The exhibition serves as a platform for beginner photographers who, through their storytelling, challenge well-rooted perspectives and create ground for new narratives.
The Kolga Visual Storytelling Program offers youth from the South Caucasus the opportunity to delve into photography and comprehensively understand the profession, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future careers. Additionally, the program aims to promote cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, while encouraging photographers to create a positive impact in their communities.
The Kolga Visual Storytelling Program is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Mentorship are organized in partnership with Chai Khana, Salaam Cinema Baku, Hermit Space, Design Institute, Artarea/Tv2.0, and Mirzoyan Library.
The exhibition will open at Artarea, 10 Dodo Abashidze, Tbilisi, at 7 PM on March 7 and will run until March 11.
