I was thinking of you

The archival footage depicts everyday life in Kutaisi during the 1990s. This transitional period, as seen through the lives of citizens, politicians, artists, and journalists, reveals the acute and difficult challenges the country faced.

Kutaisi, brought to life through footage from the 1990s, shows how the mood that prevailed during Georgia's transitional period affected everything, everywhere: in family conversations, traditional feasts, artistic protests, public events, television programs, and the city streets. These small stories depict the confusion caused by the new reality, manifested in the fear of an uncertain future, material hardships, and the anxiety-filled daily life of the city.
Today, these scenes seem to answer the questions of the past. Issues that once seemed complex during the country's transitional period now appear simple and clear.
