Anna Seinyan, 28, is from Karabakh. She has been serving in the Armenian Armed Forces for seven years. In 2017, she was the first to join the newly formed Armenian women peacekeeping unit.  In 2018 Anna left on a peacekeeping mission to Kosovo and served there for six months.

Seinyan is also a single mom. With her mother’s help, she cares for her two children (aged 7 and 11). Anna struggles to find a balance between her military service and care after children. But she is happy with her decision to join the peacekeeping force and considers her role as the first woman peacekeeper to be one of her biggest accomplishments.
